Emory University invites applications and nominations for the position of Dean of Goizueta Business School.

The next dean will provide visionary leadership to elevate Goizueta's national and global prominence while building upon its strong foundation of academic distinction and innovative pedagogy.

Goizueta's comprehensive portfolio spans undergraduate through doctoral education, including a top-ranked BBA program (#8 by Poets & Quants, #12 by U.S. News), highly regarded Full-Time MBA (#17 by Fortune and U.S. News), Evening MBA (#14), Executive MBA (#17), specialized master's programs, doctoral studies and executive education offerings. The school serves 2,354 students supported by 100 full-time faculty—including 17 endowed chairs—and more than 165 staff members across five academic departments.

Goizueta has established itself as a leader in cutting-edge business education through AI-enabled pedagogy, experiential learning and immersive simulations. Six state-of-the-art Global Classrooms facilitate hybrid and remote learning, while the Innovation Store commercializes faculty-developed teaching tools, including award-winning leadership simulations. Research excellence flourishes through centers including AI@Goizueta, the Roberto C. Goizueta Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation and the Business & Society Institute. Notably, 11 Goizueta faculty members—17% of tenured/tenure-track faculty—appear on Elsevier's World's Top 2% Scientists list for 2025.

The dean will chart a compelling vision and strategy that refines Goizueta's distinctive value proposition while fostering a people-first culture of transparency and inclusion. Key priorities include expanding the school's research enterprise, strengthening alumni engagement, securing philanthropic resources, building the Goizueta brand beyond the Southeast and forging strategic partnerships with Atlanta's dynamic business community. The dean will recruit and retain exceptional faculty and staff, enhance cross-school collaborations within Emory and ensure sound financial stewardship while growing revenue streams.

The school seeks stable, long-serving leadership deeply committed to positioning Goizueta for sustained excellence. Academic candidates should hold credentials for appointment at the Full Professor level with a terminal degree and distinguished research record. Nontraditional candidates from outside academia will demonstrate substantial professional and leadership achievement alongside a demonstrated understanding of the academic research mission.
